Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a site which lay close to the route of a Roman road. Prehistoric stone artefacts had been excavated in the surrounding area, and a number of manor houses had been recorded since the 11th century; one built in c. 1800 lay close to the site. During the evaluation, features were revealed which probably represented the remains of the manor house gardens. It was concluded that no further archaeological work would be necessary. [AIP] |
