Abstract: |
During the upgrading of a pumping station the archaeological excavations identified a variety of brick and stone walls, ditches and drains. The most significant wall was located to the north of the church and consisted of large friable stones. This wall may have been related to the earlier manor house or associated buildings. Evidence showed that the area had been terraced. No evidence was found of medieval Stowe. [Au(abr)] |
