Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on the site of a proposed new EDF substation. Five trenches were excavated and distributed across the site to achieve a broad representative sample of the redevelopment area. The results helped to refine the assessment of the archaeological potential of the site, and confirmed the possibility of shallow archaeological cut features and deposits in the area of the evaluation. In the light of revised understanding of the archaeological potential of the site the report concluded that the archaeological impact of the proposed development was considered low. [Au(abr)] |
