Abstract: |
<summary>Full archaeological excavation was undertaken following an evaluation which revealed activity horizons dating probably from the 14th century. The earliest activity horizon revealed during the excavation comprised ditches and post holes with fills containing 14th century pottery. This was sealed by a probable agricultural horizon with a mixed assemblage of 14th-17th century material. Cut into this horizon were the post holes of a substantial structure with a possible property boundary of contemporary date. Later deposits and features were related to the Georgian house which was situated on the site, and modern activity. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
