Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for a new dwelling and boundary wall. Saxon pottery had been found in the village and the site sat close to the medieval core of the village. This was best represented by the 13th century St. Andrew's Church. Earthworks of this period had also been recorded in the vicinity. The watching brief revealed a sequence of natural and topsoil deposits. No archaeological deposits were encountered and no artefacts retrieved. [Au(adp)] |
