Abstract: |
A first phase of watching brief was undertaken during the construction phase of a roundabout and link road to connect the A32 main road with new residential development. Observations along the road corridor revealed a stratigraphic sequence of dark brown clay loam topsoil overlying an orange brown silty clay subsoil with moderate flint gravel. With the exception of one undated, shallow linear feature recorded towards the eastern end of the route, no significant archaeological features or artefacts were revealed. [Au(abr)] |
