Abstract: |
Eight Machine excavated trenches, 10m, 15m, 18.30m, 19m, 10.30m, 10.20m, 11m and 10m were excavated, along with four c.2m. squared hand excavated testpits, recorded surviving medieval deposits associated with medieval settlement at High Meadow. In trench three this consisted of two dry stone wall structures, a ditch, a gully, two postholes and a pit, in trench six, two medieval pits and in trench 11 an undated layer of metal slag.
