Abstract: |
A survey of medieval ridge and furrow earthworks was undertaken prior to levelling of a site to form a school playing field. The earthworks extended beyond the limit of the site for approximately 50m, before terminating in a headland to the north-west. Six ridges with adjoining furrows, describing a characteristic elongated 'S' alignment, were recorded. A raised headland earthwork lay at the southern end. [Au(adp)] |
