Abstract: |
During the course of the evaluation the trenches on the flood plain of the river identified former courses of the Bourn Brook that had been silted up and sealed with alluvium during later episodes of flooding. Another trench identified a watercourse to the south of the Bourn Brook that once served the fish ponds and water mill. No trace was found of any prehistoric burnt mounds on the edge of the Bourn Brook and no trace was found of the Roman road. [Au(abr)] |
