Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment along the proposed route of a water pipeline gathered information on a variety of sites and features. The town of South Molton and its environs were shown to possess a rich history dating back at least to the Anglo-Saxon period, although the archaeological potential of the town itself was largely unknown. Several recommendations for further work were put forward. [AIP] |
