Abstract: |
The assessment was unable to identify conclusive evidence for archaeological deposits being preserved within the development area. It was possible that finely worked flint artefacts and large amounts of Roman pottery discovered to the north of the development area suggested settlement of these periods on the site. Changes in the regime of a river that ran past the site may also have buried prehistoric river bank settlements beneath alluvium. [Au(adp)] |
