Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site. Desk-based assessment had identified that a group of earthworks which may have represented medieval occupation lay c. 20m to the west. The evaluation revealed three possible archaeological features, one or perhaps two of which may have represented property or field boundaries; no dating evidence was found in association with either. The third was likely to have been a natural feature. There was a marked lack of pottery finds from the site, a total of two sherds of medieval pottery being found. It was concluded that no further investigation of the site would be encessary. [Au(adp)] |
