Abstract:		 A desk-based assessment was undertaken in advance of a proposed redevelopment. The study area had very low archaeological potential for the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic periods, low to moderate for the Neolithic-Iron Age, moderate for the Roman period and low for the Anglo-Saxon and early medieval periods. The archaeological potential for the medieval and post-medieval periods was very low. The study area was located to the east of the historic core of the spa town of Epsom, in an area only developed in the mid to late 18th century. [AIP]
