Abstract: |
The site was located within the walls of the later Roman town and could therefore have been occupied for over two thousand years. The extent of the surviving archaeological resources would have been reduced by the presence of cellars. Pits and foundations of previous building works within the site revealed no significant archaeological features. However, it was likely that medieval deposits could be encountered. It was also concievable that there were burials under the floor of the meeting house itself. [Au(abr)] |
