Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during soil removal and levelling prior to the construction of a new practice pitch for a football club. Previous work at the site had revealed ring ditches and a Late Bronze Age cremation. During the watching brief, no archaeological remains were observed. It was noted that the earth removal was not deep, so that any archaeological deposits present would not have been affected, and would have survived in situ. [AIP] |
