Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of two geotechnical test pits dug to examine the footings of the previous building. Within the two geotechnical test pits possible made ground layers were identified, the highest just beneath the concrete contained no cultural material. It was however, truncated by a 19th century pit. The only other datable finds were recovered from the second layer which were late 18th century in date. No features were recorded cutting into the natural geology. [Au(adp)]
