Abstract: |
Systematic archaeological fieldwalking yielded 33 sherds of Roman pottery from a field corresponding to the probable location of Adel Roman fort. The distribution plot of the ceramics provided convincing evidence for the extent of activity in this field, whilst the composition of the assemblage was tentatively considered to be consistent with a 2nd century military presence.
