Abstract: |
Archaeological recording and a watching brief were carried out at the site of a new retail unit. Medieval ditches, a building and a pit had previously been recorded in the vicinity. Construction of several concrete pad bases had already taken place when archaeological recording began, but details of the remaining holes were observed where possible. No evidence pre-dating the late 19th century was discovered, and it was concluded that previous developments would have destroyed deposits on most parts of the site.[AIP] |
