Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken at the proposed site of a housing development within an Archaeological Priority Zone, near the medieval centre of Low Leyton. Bronze age and iron age remains and a Roman building had been recorded in the area. During the evaluation, a pit and a post hole of uncertain date were revealed, and a post-medieval pit containing pottery was recorded. It was concluded that no further work would be necessary.
