Abstract: |
A single trench was excavated on the upper terrace of a sheer sandstone face to the rear of the frontages on the Lower High Street. Pits containing 17th century pottery were identified as the earliest features. They were truncated by a wall and cellar of a property marked on a 1837 survey of Stourbridge. Several other pits were recorded but were truncated by levelling, resulting in a mixing of deposits which meant that there were high levels of residuals. [Au(abr)] |
