Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of an electrical cable trench which ran through the arches of a scheduled bridge. The position of a brick wall with stone wall or floor foundation was also recorded giving evidence of the survival at this depth of part of the complex of iron foundary workshops shown on 19th century maps.
