Abstract: |
A watching brief was held over the construction of an extension to the rear of 17-23 John Street (Shoreham House), Shoreham. Two walls were revealed by the excavations and were of post-medieval to modern date. An undatable post hole was observed, and could have been of medieval or early post-medieval date judging from the stratigraphy. Although no substantial remains were disturbed by the works damage had probably been done during the construction of Shoreham House in c.1820. [AIP] |
