Abstract: |
A series of test-holes were excavated as part of an evaluation for Scheduled Monument Consent. This was necessary to evaluate the proposed route of a pipe trench to be excavated across part of a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Test-holes excavated within the cloister yard of the priory assessed the nature and quality of the surviving archaeological deposits. These uncovered the footings of the cloister walls. [AIP] |
