Abstract: |
Concentrations of ferrous litter were found to be characteristic of both areas investigated, although the density of this material was not sufficient to impede the investigations. A weak pattern of magnetic lineation suggested that the area west of the present drive may once have been under ridge and furrow cultivation. The geophysical failed to provide convincing evidence for the survival in the subsoil of any significant traces of a formal garden scheme. [Au(abr)] |
