Abstract: |
The archaeological observations identified no features of archaeological significance. All the features appeared to be modern. However, two hedgebanks were recorded and believed to perpetuate medieval open field boundaries that were enclosed at a later date. A quantity of flint waste material and artefacts recovered were indicative of human activity around the area throughout the Neolithic period. The pottery recovered indicated continuity of settlement and/or agricultural activity from the medieval period through to the present. [Au(abr)] |
