Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during topsoil stripping within the area of the Scheduled Ancient Monument of Ribchester Roman Fort. A cobbled surface with pottery dating from the 1st to the 4th centuries AD was recorded, reflecting the known use of the fort. Impact on the archaeological remains was minimised, however further monitoring would be required for any other groundwork in the area of the site. [Au(adp)] |
