Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of post-holes for the installation of playground swings, at a site which lay within a Local Area of Archaeological Importance. A chance surface find of a flint flake of possible Iron Age date and four burnt flints had been made in the area of the site. During the watching brief, modern topsoil and paving were observed; no natural deposits were exposed. [AIP] |
