Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation recorded structural features and soil deposits relating to occupation of the site between the 12th and 16th centuries. The earliest occupation evidence comprised sherds of Romano-British pottery contained within a buried soil or subsoil deposit and as residual sherds within medieval features or layers. Occupation appeared to have ceased by the 17th century after which the plot reverted to cultivation and gardens before re-occupation during the later 18th or early 19th century. [Au(abr)] |
