Abstract: |
An excavation was undertaken within an area of potential archaeological importance, the medieval settlement of Deritend, identified through map evidence as lying along the High Street. The excavation recorded the remains of 17th century activity and appeared to confirm the historical and archaeological model for the area as a rapidly developing district with a distinctly industrial character.
