Abstract: |
<summary>Following a desk-based assessment, fieldwork was carried out during the construction of the water pipeline. This consisted of fieldwalking the route after topsoil-stripping, to identify finds and features, and observing the trench excavation at certain points. The supposed site of a medieval farmstead produced only a flint scatter. At one point the pipeline corridor passed within 10m of an Iron Age ringwork; no features associated with this monument were noted, although a spread of charred grain was recorded. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
