Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the demolition of the walls and floor of a warehouse prior to redevelopment. Flints dating from the palaeolithic to the neolithic had been recorded in the surrounding area, and the projected course of a Roman road passed nearby. During the watching brief, a fragment of 18th century worked stone was found. It was concluded that further archaeological work would not be necessary. [AIP] |
