Abstract: |
The evaluation identified that the archaeological potential of the site was relatively low. A low wide bank was identified at the eastern edge of the area and was possibly was a headland associated with a block of ridge and furrow. The Boating Dike was identified crossing the site from ease to west, which was created in the 17th century as a canal that linked Thorne with the River Don. The excavation identified that the original cut for the canal was twice as wide. [Au(abr)] |
