Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken prior to an application for planning permission to expand the existing Reclamation Centre at Hill and Moor. The site lay close to known Roman and medieval settlements. The evaluation consisted of 800 metres of machine dug trenches within an area of pasture and fieldwalking of the arable land. Neither method indicated the presence of significant archaeological sites, although small quantities of Roman and medieval finds were recovered. [Au] |
