Abstract:		 A watching brief was undertaken over a number of months at the site of a large housing project. Topsoil stripping and the cutting of trenches for services and foundations were monitored. No features were identified but a small number of sherds of medieval and post medieval pottery, and a number of struck flints including a finely worked projectile point were recovered from the topsoil.
