Abstract: |
This report presented the results of an archaeological evaluation undertaken in advance of the construction of a new water main to the south-west of Oxenhope. The test pitting was undertaken to determine whether construction would have an adverse impact on any early prehistoric remains in the area, and particularly any past hunter-gather activity as indicated primarily by the presence of flint scatters. A total of ten test pits were excavated by hand, and the deposits removed screened for finds. No archaeological deposits or finds were identified. [Au(abr)] |
