Abstract: |
The assessment established that the site was on the margins of the main area of medieval activity of the town, and was likely to have been used as gardens. This was assumed to have been the function until the late 19th century, whan a series of outhouses assciated with the inn were constructed. There was thought to be high potential for the survival of medieval remains, protected by a thick layer of garden soil, although finds may be sparse. [Au(abr)] |
