Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken on engineer's site investigations at the former power station site. The archaeological watching brief was conducted on the engineer's series of 26 machine and hand-dug test pits, and one trench, designed to assess ground conditions prior to proposed redevelopment. No archaeological or environmental remains were observed; the power station foundations and revetting of the Lea had caused extensive truncation. [Au(abr)] |
