Abstract: |
Excavation of an investigative trench along a redundant section of the A1 (T) central reservation, failed to identify bank or ditch deposits relating to the Becca Banks linear earthwork and ditch at Known Archaeology Area 22 (KAA 22). Up to 2.5 metres of modern road deposits were observed below the current ground level. A linear feature, potentially relating to the enclosure and field system complex to the north of KAA 22 was identified. [Au] |
