Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the later stages of groundworks at the site of a housing development, which lay within the medieval settlement of Shipston. Two wall foundations were observed, which may have dated from between 1902 and 1924 but were more likely to pre-date the 18th century. A cob built barn wall, the only known example of such walling in Shipston, was exposed by the demolition of a building. [Au(abr)] |
