Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for the construction of a noise bund, the proposed excavation threatened to damage archaeological remains near a Bronze Age barrow cemetery. Two archaeological features were observed, a circular feature and a horseshoe shaped feature, both undated. Worked flint was also observed, and due to the proximity of known Bronze Age remains, could have dated to this period. Post-medieval pottery was also recorded. Environmental samples were also taken.
