Abstract: |
Two trenches excavated on the site of the proposed Tesco store on the former Stock Market revealed a number of 19th and 20th century features, probably associated with the rear plots of houses and the former Stock Market itself. Only two features may have been earlier, a ditch containing a sherd of 14th-15th century pottery, possibly residual, and a ditch which produced only bone. [Au(abr)] |
