Abstract: |
Archaeological observations of trenches for new storm drains at the Church of St Mary the Virgin were carried out. A stone wall to the north of the church that probably belonged to one of the preceptory buildings, a 15th/16th century decorated rim sherd from a cistern or jar and a fragment of medieval window glass were revealed during the evaluation. A post-medieval brick wall was also uncovered. [Sec(abr)] |
