Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in connection with the installation of new water mains. Groundworks in the area failed to recover any evidence of the Devil's Causeway Roman Road, which was shown on maps to cross the route of the pipeline. The only feature uncovered was a single layer of ash, which contained modern pottery. [Au(abr)] |
