Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken prior to the proposed construction of 102 new residential units. The Bedfordshire Historic Environmental Record indicated that no SAMs or other archaeological remains occurred on or in the immediate vicinity of the site. Equally, this assessment concluded that given the archaeological background of this area, archaeological remains of national importance, meriting preservation in situ would not have been present on the site. Similarly, the occurrence of other sites or finds of sufficient importance to merit in situ preservation appeared highly unlikely. [Au(adp)] |
