Abstract:
Desk-top assessment was undertaken as a part of a feasibility study for prospective redevelopment of the site. Two listed buildings, The Whitfield Tabernacle and its Chapel House, and a burial ground in use as recently as 1988 lay within the study area. The study area was argued as being of significance in the history of non-conformist religion not only in the context of Kingswood and Bristol but also in the national context. [Auth adap]
