Abstract: |
An excavation at the site revealed five shallow pits and two gullies. A fragment of Roman box-flue tile and one small piece of Roman brick attested to activity from that period in the vicinity. One small pit contained burnt animal bone. The archaeological features were all to the rear of the property and appeared to be associated with back yard or garden activity of a post-medieval date.
