Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the demolition of two Z-Buildings. The site lay within an area of known archaeological potential, with Bronze Age, Iron Age and Romano-British sites lying within close vicinity to the site. Twelve small pits and postholes were excavated but only one yielded any dating evidence, pottery of Late Iron Age or Romano-British date. The dating of the one pit was consistent with the evidence for extensive occupation at this time on a site adjacent to the development area. [AIP] |
