Abstract: |
The evaluaton demonstrated that there was a low density of archaeological features within the site. A ring ditch was revealed which contained no dating evidence but was probably of Bronze Age date. Evidence from air photographs and previous fieldwork suggested that the ring ditch may have been part of a group of such features which formed a small barrow cemetery. A single sherd of early medieval pottery was also revealed close to the ring ditch which also meant that it could have had Anglo-Saxon origins. [AIP] |
