Abstract: |
Monitoring of the garage foundations and an associated boundary wall revealed the remains of what was likely to be a 15th to 16th century brick structure associated with pottery production. Areas around the structure within the foundations had been disturbed during the 20th century, when the site was a works yard, however, there were also significant areas which had not been disturbed. A large quantity of pottery dating from 15th to 16th century was recovered from the deposit overlying the brick structure. Other finds included fragments of kiln structure. [Au(abr)] |
