Abstract: |
The archaeological watching brief noted a large medieval boundary ditch or drainage channel that was exposed during the excavation of the house footing. It was believed that this buried feature related directly to surviving earthworks to the north-west. The upper portion of the ditch was overlain with modern backfill and a ceramic drain. A small quantity of medieval pottery and 18th century brick was recovered during the investigation. [Au(abr)] |
